Prelims (Ghosted)

A) Preliminaries:

Any Prelim added in this screen will have its value spread (ghosted) into the Schedule Of Rates (S/O/R) for this Estimate

The values will be spread proportionality across the products based on their percentage value of the entire estimate (not counting locked products).

Menu Options;

Add Prelim

·	Click and complete form:

·	Enter required name for Prelim

·	Choose Section to attract the Prelim (Whole Estimate will distribute the value proportionately)

·	Choose Spread Type (All, Material,Plant, Labour, Other, or Sub Contract)

·	This will define the area in the Estimate the Prelim value is spread over

·	If the chosen Spread Type is not active in this Estimate any Prelim attached to it will be ignored

·	Enter a default Quantity (single value or number of weeks for example)

·	Enter a Unit Value for the Prelim (can be edited in each Estimate)

Edit and Delete Prelim options enable current details to be changed or removed completely.

Wizard:

This feature allows a Prelim to be spread over selected Sections only

For example this screenshot shows Temporary Site Electrics being spread over Containment, Lighting, Small Power and Mains Dis only

Type in the Prelim Name in the Description field

Highlight Section to be targeted, enter quantity of Prelim and value in respective columns

Repeat for each Section that requires the Prelim spread

Click Create when finished

This is the result:

The Schedule Locked column will only be ticked if the Schedule Of Rates screen has been locked (See S/O/R)

Load Default:

Reloads the default Mark-ups stored in System Defaults/Markup Classes
